Guess The 2011 First Round: Post Your Own Mock
For Dale Tallon and his band of scouts, it's the 11th hour; months of tireless work, trips to the far reaches of the globe, keeping their eyes on the numbers etched into the backs of young men, chattering a weird language ony spoken by men in hockey rinks, all comes down to this moment. Just like Dale and company many of you jave thought about this draft for what seems like forever. You've studied up all of the players, considered other team needs, strategies, and even cap situation, and believe you have a fairly good grasp as to how things fall into place. It's time to put all that hard work to to the test. More after the jump...
The Challenge: Guess the 2011 First Round
How it works: Simply guess who you think will be drafted from picks 1 to 30; the person who most accuratley guesses the draft will be crowned the LBC Guessing Champion (this is just for fun).
Your entry (to be posted in the comments section) will be scored simply by matching the draft pick with the player. For every correct guess your entry will earn 1 point, you will also earn an additional 3 points if you correctly guess whom the Panthers draft in your pick (if you put, 3 - Landeskog and the Cats draft Landeskog at the 3rd spot, that's 4 points!).
Even if you don't have a firm grasp on the draft and the players in it, take a few guesses, look at some of the "professionals" mocks and have some Draft Day fun and take part after the jump.
For your research and viewing pleasure, here are a few links to some of the more prestige Mock Drafts in the Hockey world.
NHL.com Expert Mock Draft (there are 4 entries here)
Good luck everyone, and I can't wait to see your amazing guessing skills.

I’m not a gambling man. I did enough of that when I was younger with who I chose for gf’s. I don’t do much gambling, except the chance of puttin my foot in my mouth when talkin hockey. But I got a winning record for that. Hell, I pissed that guy Heimy on HFboards off so bad over Krajicek, he stopped talkin to me.

We wont banish you, you’ve got the hockey knowledge thats rare on other hockey sites. Ever see ESPN’s boards? What a joke.

Just a bit of irony. I got banned from HF again, after two posts, and I didn’t attack anyone. What I found ironic is, the person who attacked me, I recently googled something and found him posting something from like 6 years ago, complementing me. I’ve been chased off more message boards and forums than probably actively exist.

I’d make a silly guess but am at work trying to get cleared up so I can go to watch the draft and become enlightened by the LBC crew!
Be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions, always do your best...
Utterly off-topic
Anybody seen Jonathan Huberdeau’s twitter feed?
http://twitter.com/#!/JonnyHuby11
Some of his posts on there would get him a suspension and a sizable fine in the NBA…
Wow lol—I don’t know how to interpret this, on one hand I almost want to say I hope he doesn’t get drafted by the Cats and I have been pumping his tires for a while, but on the other I like the Biznasty’s of the world who speak their mind—their interesting as hell.

I’m with you there. The last thing the Cats need is more bad publicity, but on the other hand it’d be nice to see a player with some genuine personality on the team.
I will say this though, when it was revealed that the Huberdeau family traveled to Sunrise to watch the Habs play the Cats around New Years my feelings about the Cats drafting him became quite conflicted.
Getting hockey news from ESPN is like getting rumors from Eklund.
