Bringing up the Bottom: Panthers' final three rounds in 2011
With the later picks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Dale Tallon has selected Yaroslav Kosov 124th overall in the 5th round, Edward Wittchow 154th overall in the 6th round, and Iiro Pakarinen 184th overall in the 7th round. There was no 4th round draft pick this year, it was part of the deal that brought Mike Santorelli to the Panthers (Nashville Predators picked Josh Shalla).
More after the jump, including Florida's entire 2011 haul...

Iiro Pakarinen is a 19 year old Finn who plays for Kalpa Kuoio of the SM-liiga. In 47 games the forward put up 10 points (7G/3A) in 47 games.

OK....
This years draft not as deep as last years for sure. But I like Huberdeau and Grimaldi. I like the Campbell trade for the reason of helping some of the younger D-Men espcially Guds or Clay Wilson. Campbell has great legs can help spark some offense like Wideman did last year. Now I think Dale should look at re-signing some of our players before July 1st. I would like to see Reasoner (Defense and Leadership), Samsonov (Skill), Bergfors (Skill), Santorelli (Skill) signed quickly as possible. Maybe try and make Samsonov’s a bit laden with bonus’s if he does well. I don’t think Vokoun is coming back so I hope he has a better plan than Clemmer…..Here’s to hoping of course….
No luck with Bergfors....
GR reported that Panthers did not offer qualifying offer to him.
Also expect to see affiliation issue solves this week… Thankfully.

My list of favorite picks (in order of their awesomeness)
1. Huberdeau
2. Grinaldi
3. Rau
4. Kosov
5. Shaw
6. Trocheck
7. Bengtsson
8. Racine
I know nothing about our last two picks though. Victory to TallonCat!
I wasn’t able to see any interviews or highlights but I think that Trocheck kid is a bit of a sleeper.

Every time I watch more of Trocheck or just see how other people talk about him, I wanna move him up my little board closer to where I put Rau. The only thing I heard is that although he’s a hard worker and has good ethic, he dissapears sometimes on the ice. He’s going to have to work on his consistency if he wants to become the leader of his team.
And my mistake, Grimaldi
