Join us for Florida Panthers Opening Night action from the LBC Luxury Suite at BankAtlantic Center
Thanks to some very solid collaborative work between the Florida Panthers' Zach Cravitz and the LBC staff, an exceptionally special event has been planned for those who can’t wait to drop the puck on the 2011-12 NHL season.
For the home opener on Saturday, October 15 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, there will be a BankAtlantic Center suite dedicated exclusively to the Litter Box Cats community.
This will be our first chance to see a completely re-engineered Panthers team - live - on regular season ice, while also being a fantastic opportunity to meet, greet and mingle with die-hard Panthers fans in a unique atmosphere. Adults and children are welcome. John and I will be in attendance along with other LBC staff and friends of the site, so do join us.
All the goods after the jump...
Cost per ticket is $100; for that price you will receive:
- Access to the LitterBoxCats.com suite
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages
- Lexus Club VIP Parking Pass (1 per order)
- Opportunity to participate in a raffle to win a team-signed stick (1 in 50 shot)
- Zach has also arranged for a postgame group photo at center ice.
Availability is very limited, but we have done everything in our power to ensure as many people as possible can attend. We have reserved the largest suite in the arena however that still means we will only be able to accommodate approximately 50 people. Time is short, so reserve your spot(s) now.
To purchase tickets or for further event information please contact Zach Cravitz at 954-835-7223 or via email at cravitzz@sselive.com.
To make things easier on Zach (as we plan on him taking quite a few orders in very little time) it is preferred that you order your tickets via email - subject line: LBC Opening Night Event - by submitting all of the information below…
- First and last name
- Mailing address, including city, state and zip code
- Phone number
- Number of tickets you wish to purchase
- Credit-card number*
- Credit-card expiration date*
- Name on credit card*
- Name you would like tickets to be left under at will call
*If you are not comfortable sending your credit card info via email, please include all other information and Zach will call you ASAP to get your payment information.
Note: If you already have some type of season ticket package that conflicts with this game, you are able to exchange the tickets for the home opener and use them for another game. That way you can still purchase tickets to join LBC Nation in the suite, its going to be more fun than any other seat in the house.
The plan is to make this an annual event and grow it every year, but it starts here; this is an Opening Night Luxury Suite against the Bolts, folks, so let's make it happen! And yes, Lightning fans are welcome and encouraged to join in. Hope to see you all there.
PLEASE NOTE: Zach can accept a split-payment arrangement of $50 now and $50 later. Please contact him above for further details.

will do sir! I don’t know if I’ll be able to attend the box at the current price (sure I know it comes with food and drink etc and the oppertunity to meet you all but this just happens to be my birthday and im apparently not allowed to purchase my own tickets as my dad insists on doing so.. Don’t think it would be right to ask him for multiple 100$ tickets.
I’ll for sure wave to you guys from the lower bowl with Simona though :]

I have another announcement
At opening night I will not be in my Ottawa jersey, but instead will be rocking a new Panthers jersey. So watch out for that.

If I am in Miami, which I should be, I already have tickets (I think). Will there be anything before the game for the rest of us? ;)

We’ll explore a get-together beforehand down the road, but probably nothing “official”.
Are those season tix you have, PF? If so you may be able to go through the buy-back program. Worth checking with Zach.

If I lived significantly south of Raleigh, I'd provide some away fan color
But I don’t, so I’ll go the Canes home opener against the Bolts instead. In much less style.

Thanks so much for the invitation, Donny, but Vanessa and I are sort of superstitious about our seats. So we’ll be thinking about our LBC friends while we watch the game from 118. Oh, and get with the times, man! Trump upgraded to a 757 ages ago! :oP

So to whom does the 727 – with blended winglets – belong to that I have I been staring at on the ramp at PBI? Just between us ;)

Ivana? :o)
I’m not sure about the 727. He had that thing parked at LGA for years, but recently that same parking space has been occupied by the 757 above.
Just retweeted the article. I’ll do it again in a few days… (although I think all of my hockey followers were followers of yours long before they were followers of mine.) :o) @Van_Murph
Thanks pal!

I was still working at 6pm last night.. when its good, you gotta grab all ya can, so I hit Zach up at about 6:10. LOL!
Thanks Crooklyn for repping the Panthers at the home opener :-)
How open is this invite to folks outside of the LBC?
Be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions, always do your best...
It's open
It’s open outside of the community, goal is basically to have as many die-hard Panther/hockey fans as possible to watch the Cats start the season off right.
In fact, Raw Charge might get in on the action a little so we need as many Panthers fans as possible to make them feel uncomfortable.

Got it! Bring it.. would be GREAT to have some inter-box rivalary and create some TRUE interstate rivalary between Bolts and Cats. I’d love to participate in a group that goes to Tampa for the same action!

Ugh. I hope there are still some tickets available by the time I’m ready and able to purchase them. I just shelled out $600 for tickets to next weekend’s Marlins-Mets game. Damn it!!
that price for the Marlins???
for that price to see the Marlins I hope you gopt the whole stadium or at least the whole pool!
HCM
Though I cant make any promises, there is a chance I could attend. Since the opener is on a Saturday, a flight to Ft Lauderdale and back wouldnt interfere with my classes too much. Just gonna have to calculate some numbers…

About where is the box located? End zone, center ice? 200 or 300 level?

Sorry for the delay, the suite (assuming we fill it up) will be #304 which as Donny said is the largest suite. It is on the Panthers shoot once side, in the corner.
Thank you, sir. I got the building correct!

Hello From RawCharge.com Member
Great idea!
As soon as I get a response from some of my family members I’ll be ordering some tickets and organizing a caravan down to Sunrise. Quick question for the locals, where should we reserve rooms? Is there a hotel near the centre with bar life around it for after the game for our layover Saturday night that you guys recommend?
Thanks for the invite, can’t wait!
PS Would be cool if the tradition was to alternate cities…this year a suite in Sunrise and next year a suite in Tampa to get our blog communities more involved in partnership events.
"System Trumps Chumps" - Tampa t
Would be absolutely cool to do the alternating thing! Count a number of us in.
As for hotels, can we get a local comment here (I’m personally a bit north of the arena)?

The only bar life near the arena is a TGIFriday’s and the bar at the Quarterdeck. There is a hotel right there by the arena and the mall, but that’s really all that’s out there. Except Duffy’s Sports Grill is not too far away. It’s the same kind of place, but you should be able to get them to put on the west coast games should you be so inclined. Fort Lauderdale is a better bet, but is almost 20 minutes away. There might be somewhere decent just north of the arena area, but I don’t know for sure. If you give me a little time I can poke around a little to see what I can find up there. But the sort of walk to the game, walk to the bar, stumble back to the hotel thing you can do in Tampa doesn’t really exist in that part of town.
And the alternating thing would be cool. We usually drive out once or twice a season anyway.

When I stayed in FLA, I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Tamarac, nice hotel, about 20 mins from the BAC. Not sure about bars though.

Depending on the age bracket of your group.. a short drive into Davie will put you at Geronimo’s- food & drinks flow til 4 I believe and there is Ye Old Falcon Pub there too.. open VERY late. There are hotels in the Davie area near enough the major expressways to go to/from the arena.
Downtown Ft Laud is ok
Downtown Hollywood is very cool and open later..

Yeah, Hollywood is cool too. That’s where I live. If you don’t mind the extra 25-30 both ways, downtown Hollywood has a few decent bars. And cheap hotels, apparently.
