Goalie mask designs of the Panthers
As a new fan of the Panthers and hockey in general I have begun to notice a trend from hockey trickle into my favorite sport of baseball, mask designs.

John Buck the catcher of the Florida Marlins began to have designs on his mask when he played for the Toronto Blue Jays, no doubt influenced by the Maple Leafs and hockey and it got me wondering what designs have been worn by the goaltenders that have passed through Miami and Sunrise. Luckily one website has actually archived this.
So let's start with Jacob Markstrom and work backwards to John Vanbiesbrouck.

Jamie McLennan
Steve Shields
Jani Hurme
Wade Flaherty (tough to see)
Trevor Kidd
Mike Vernon
Sean Burke
Kirk McLean
Mark Fitzpatrick
And finally the most iconic goalie mask in Panthers history...
John Vanbiesbrouck
So there you have it.

The design is synonymous with the way the Panthers entered the league, successful. It’s fierce, not so cluttered, and in your face. Plus at times it looked like it was made of gold.

I’m surprised by only 3 votes for Shields. That old school Jason mask painted on a modern mask, with all the stiches, just classic imo.

It is pretty wild.
Beezer blazed a tough path to follow tho.
