LBC Notes:

- Voting is now officially open at CBS-Miami for the "Most Valuable Blog" contest. Our collective thanks for the nomination!
- Host network SB Nation got quite the shoutout from Time Magazine this week.
- If all of that isn't enough to get you uber-stoked for LBC's Opening Night Gala of Extravagance and Excess, well, we'll keep at ya...but remaining spots are getting thin as training camp approaches.

Forget where I saw it but had seen an article stating Gretzkys son signed a deal with a MLB team to join one of their minor affils.. not following in the footsteps and going to hockey, crazy!

I heard Gretzky was happy his son chose baseball. Those are the largest footsteps to follow. That’d be a massive amount of pressure. Going to the Cubbies maybe he can break the curse and forever be a part of Chicago lore.
