Ugh! Can’t wait for Fantasy Season to start! Real time fantasy draft in some ways is almost as exciting as the first round of the actual NHL draft.. Been trying to come up with a few dif strats depending on if im in the top mid or bottom 10 for picks..
Only thing I’m torn on is if I had #2 overall, Stamkos goes first… Do I pick Crosby, one of my fav players coming off of a huge concussion.. or do I go with a safe bet such as a sedin or ovie.. a lot of people thinkg Sid can lead the league this year even with the concussion..

Gotta go with Ovie, IMO...
Just too many questions marks for Sid, no matter how great he is, you just never know with concussions. After Ovie, it’s either Stammer or the Sedin de jour.
IMO, Ovie knows that, with the addition of Vokoun between the pipes, and the money that’s being spent to keep that team together, it’s now or never.
well stamkos would be the first choice im sure in any league, the question was more towards the second pick… im honestly still leaning towards crosby, they’ve def babied this concussion for sure, they even would rather be elim from the playoffs then to rush him back.

I would support a team in Birmingham.
*cough * and I’m glad 50K people in Toronto were able to watch their team get undressed by Goc

This story just flew right under the radar: http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_hockey_panthers/2011/08/foxsports-net-lists-panthers-in-top-10-worst-franchises.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+panthersblog+%28Florida+Panthers+|Sun-SentinelBlogs%29
Foxsports.com rates Panthers one of the worst 10 franchises in sports.
We’ll prove them wrong this season, no doubt.

Like that clip of Goc
I’m planning a trip to Toronto in February to see the Leafs Panthers game. They don’t take too kindly to visiting fans do they? I went there for a game against the Panthers as a child like 13 and even then I thought it was kind of hostile when your wearing the other teams colors. But now I’m going as an adult. Should I be worried? I get anxiety around a lot of people. Its definitely a different game experience than at the BAC.
You see what the trolls said in the other forum? It’s like that.

no worries! they dont have guns in canada!
heck they hardly have an army. (kidding)
Fans will chirp, same as in any hometown arena even our own. Only thing you can do is be friendly about it talk to some of the people doing so and give it right back to them. Believe it or not as bad as it gets when Mtl is in town I’ve met some really nice Canadien fans while we sat trash talking eachothers teams back and forth.. some people really do just understand the love of hockey and put stupidity aside.

Yeah I’ll just take an ativan sit down shut up and keep my celebrating down to a minimum. I’m more worried about my gf haha. Its not like I’m going to throw waffles or anything…http://detroitstreetpress.com/2011/01/03/the-toronto-waffles/. Maybe a Rat…Totally kidding they would beat me to a pulp and toss me in canadian bacon jail. And after the subsequent deportation I would forever have an arrest record…In Canada.
Make a suit of armor out of waffles.
