"On Monday, Sept. 19, the Panthers will host the second annual Hockey Day in South Florida, a daylong fan festival highlighted by a number of incredible fan events including a historic preseason doubleheader with the Panthers hosting Nashville Predators at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m on the Lexus Rink at the BankAtlantic Center. Yes, Monday's are incredibly convenient for the general public to get a chance to come out and meet the "select players" who aren't playing in one of the 2 games slated for that day.   I think my view is politically charged. I am pretty tired of propaganda being passed out as truth or news.  Calling this double header of games could accurately be named Hockey Day but to say its an opportunity for fans to feel the joy of Hockey for the day is complete poppycock!    Make a real Hockey Day- a Saturday or Sunday when most people are free from work and make all the players available for a few hours, to the fans and potential new fans for pictures and autographs.  Give all your Sponsors tables where the players are and give them a chance to talk to fans directly, fill the lot with Lexus's to sell that day, there are so many better ways to serve your fans and financial supporters!
