As much as I am pulling for Theo to get better as quick as possible, when Puck Daddy writes something like this on their site you have to feel pretty darn good as a Panthers fan.
Florida Panthers: Jose Theodore suffered some sort of lower body injury on Saturday night and will be out “for a while.” Hey that’s alright. Jacob Markstrom is fantastic.
Hockey is a business, only we fans love it as a game.
So did I, and I said sometime around January. it was the obvious direction of where the team was going, with Clemmensen being a UFA after the season. With Clemmensen being a UFA, he was being moved, unless he had a Vezina caliber season. If Theo sucked, Markstrom was being called up. If someone got injured for an extended period, they were gonna call him up and play him, as it’d be a waste of his and the team’s time if he sat the bench. It was just a matter of when, not if.

Puck Daddy
actually said he expected Markstrom to become starting goalie before this season is over. I am just clarifying myself.
Clem’s stats, GAA and Save Pct(.891), frankly stink.(His Won-Loss record is 4-1-2 but Florida also scored 16 goals for Clem in his 3 wins prior to last Saturday. 99.99999999999% of pro Goalies are going to win with 5.33 goals a game offensive support) He’s been hurt this year twice, He’s UFA, so his trade is going to be extremely low. Florida is again going to face the decision- Clem or Markstrom when Theo is healthy. Unless Clem in packaged with somebody else in a trade, I don’t see frankly how Florida is going to unload him at trade deadline time or if they do we’re going to get very very little.
Assuming
Theo is out for this week, I expect Clem will start Thursday and Markstrom on Friday. San Antonio I believe is playing games Tuesday and Wednesday this week and Markstrom will join Florida after that. That makes him starting on Thursday as unlikely.
