Getting some drips of freezing rain, otherwise just cold (from a South Floridian’s perspective). Also occasionally windy, which is when it really feels awful outside.
But then I just remember I’m coming home in a week and a half!

Sounds familiar. I was up there a week or so back. BTW, the Bourbon Bread Pudding at Josephine’s Tea Room in Godfrey IL is excellent, as is the food at Pappy’s Smokehouse off Olive near the Fabulous Fox.
Godfrey’s on the wrong side of town, I live in South County, and I only occasionally make journeys as far north as St. Charles. I have attended the Fox once, unfortunately to see a rather poor movie-to-musical adaptation.
Oh hell. The MIL lives south of Festus. The trek to Godfrey was considerable.
We’ve seen several musicals and Mark Knopfler at the Fox. Great old place.

Hey all, patiently waiting for the game to begin, we had a “snow day” here and spent a solid 3 hours clearing away snow, may have to enjoy a “beverage” of some kind
Someone in my building must have had a “fend off the cold” party last night. I take my garbage out to the dumpster this morning, and there’s nothing in it but enough empty rum bottles to cover the floor of it.

Been to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto twice, it’s really cool to see the original Cup in the vault behind inches and inches of protective glass.
Awesome.
It was great when I got to, as well, although it was really rushed (got there an hour early, scheduled for 3 hours. Took 4 and a half until I got up there, and the line was as long as it was at the beginning). Thing is majestic.

We didn’t even make it close to the front of the line. But we were at the back of the line when the Cup was strapped into Erik Cole’s car, so we were like six inches from it. I was reading the names on the rings while his police escort was getting ready to move.

For anyone who says there’s a magic game on instead of the panthers.. if you have directv it should be on the ‘alternate’ channel, one up from the reg fox sports channel..
if you have another provider they usually have an alternate channel as well, just don’t know specially where.

Luongo, take him or leave him as you will. He’s still extremely skilled. It wasn’t his fault in the finals, defense disappeared and the team scored 8 goals in 7 games. It’s amazing they GOT to game 7.

The Cats WILL turn this season around, I still think we’re the favorites to win the division. We’ve done too well under too much adversity the first half of this season not to. This slump will end… just doesn’t really look like it’s gonna be tonight.
I will wait to reserve judgement until after tomorrow night’s game. If we can’t get at least a point tomorrow then I think we will miss the playoffs entirely.

Every fucking game this guy has something negative to say. Sure we all have our opinions or occasional negativity, but every single night. It got old really quick and he always gets called out on it. I’m wondering if we adjust well to difference team play styles. I’ve noticed that we tend to do the same things over and over, working or not.
For example, during the Rangers game a few weeks back we kept trying to break into the Rangers zone the same way, over and over with little success. I think we need to adapt better.
Seeing Red since 1994.

as much as I think that Dineen is a great coach I agree with your observation. It is a lack of change that we seem to blown out by certain teams like the Rangers. It also lead to the Booth trade and Santorelli being benched as their styles do not play well in this type of system.
