Already got some help this afternoon with NJ losing, we can tie them in points with a W. Ottawa also a loser to a western team. Toronto hosts Montreal in other action we care about, go Habs go (but do it in regulation, please?).
Another negative affect of all these OT\SO losses, first tiebreaker is wins and unless we dramatically improve, we probably won’t win that should it come down to it. So let’s start tonight, eh?

the Long Island variety. The first ever hockey game I saw in person. Dad took me and my younger brother to a game in the early 70’s.

How about that first period? I’ve been running between rooms trying to get a couple of pizzas together and catch as much of the game as possible. A little sloppy at parts and some bad/sloppy penalties, but good kills and a couple great plays by Versteeg and company.

lol, I guess I’m just used to the narrow, but I never had any issue with it and this wide view is screwing me up now.
Some of the embedded stuff looks awful, as do some of the photo templates. That’s the reason I only ever use the big centered picture format anymore.

I feel like with chips such as Robak, Repik, Santoelli, Madden, Samuelsson, Sturm, Clemmonson, and Barch, as well as draft picks, we should be able to pick up a scorer.
Not really, not much value there honestly. Repik is not that valuable to GMs because they could have had him “free”.
That’s not always true. Sometimes they’ll trade for a guy that they could have picked up off waivers because they want or need to dump salary.

hi gang!! to the D comment made about missing jovo…..ellerby has been looking pretty solid…he is their best skater and moves the puck well…gudy needs to pick it up..and kuli needs to work on his defensive abilities…hes a great offensive player but a liability in our own end. Bergie…well he needs to stop takin damn penalties …amen!

Its sad..seems like there is a lot of fans who beat on him and its solely bc he had to pay his dues sitting on the bench while they gave our rookie a chance….throw ellerby a bone guys, the kid is unreal and a solid defenseman. The guy knows how to get the puck moving. I hope the dues he paid pays off this second half of the season for him…He has been playing solid tonight. as for the team as a whole…im bitting my nails right now!!!! We need this game, I hope we come out strong next period.
I think the defensive liabilities are more the forwards dumping the puck instead of carrying it in. They are losing the puck possession game to night. Can’t blame the D when they have been passing to the forwards and they cough it up….not enough talent. Why " is Santo leading in the shot column.

The guy just passed away. Now is the time to celebrate what he achieved, not criticize him for his faults. He should be remembered mostly for all the great things he did for college football.

Think about what you would do in the situation. You’re told something unbelievably terrible is going on, someone who is your friend is being accused. You talk to him, he denies it, and you decide to hand over the story to the higher authorities with the power to investigate, and you stick to your job playing football.
He didn’t molest anyone, and while I agree he is at certain fault, this instance to Paterno doesn’t even compare to the tainting of say the HR record Barry Bonds has with the steroid use and such.

It’s a scary situation, dude. It’s much easier said than done to be preaching what Paterno should have done. I am appalled that it went on as much as it did, but the fault lies much for with the people who are actually on trial.
I’m not condoning anything that happened, but goodness, he is only human and he was an old guy as well.
I think what gets lost in all this is… Paterno wasn’t the only one. Several sleezeballs let this monster go free for too long and tarnished the reputation of the school.

I’m not defending Paterno. I think they all did nothing. My family are huge penn state fans with several graduating from there. They think that Paterno was too old to be coaching for that long. Paterno interview in the Washington pOst last week explains that ….when he doesnt understand what Sandusky was doing…
I just think its unfair to just blame paterno. blame the president, the athletic department, the trustees etc. They should all be fired for knowing and doing nothing.. And ruining the reputation of the school. I cant wait too see them fire them all. They need to fire anyone had knowledge of the sickening deeds of Sandusky. Clean sweep. That is the only way to save the school.

the team needs their fans to help them fight through the good and the bad..otherwise i wouldn’t consider yourself a loyal fan….this team is young, and is still re building…dont expect a complete turn around….at least not yet..it takes a couple years to have a solid team..Theyll find their groove and we will make first round playoffs..and THAT is a huge stride for the panthers!!

41 saves yes. 44 shots no. 2 points anyday though. This was the type of performance that ended 8-0 to a better team

That’s kind of my point, lol. We just didn’t have an answer for them pouring it on. Teams that are in the upper levels of the standings will score more than 3 with 44 tries. A lot more. Defensive zone needs a looooot of work.

The cats love them Saturday nights.
8-1-0 this year in Saturday games. Last year, they were 10-6-2 on Saturdays compared to 20-34-10 on every other day of the week.
