It’s also more than possible that there is still an issue with Jose’s knee. The coach is not great at being forthcoming about injuries. He might be well enough to start on the bench and come in if necessary, and yet be too sore to start. We don’t know the whole story, as it’s not Dineen’s MO to give us the whole story.

Atmospheric humidity can cause a problem when the rink starts building unwanted ice. It can lead to an uneven surface developing but it doesn’t typically cause “slower” ice.

At least they go into the break tied with Caps for 1st. Can’t ask for much more, didn’t expect this from the start of the year. The team will come out with fire after the break. Not worried.
