Florida's Marcel Goc notched a goal for Adler Mannheim as did Tomas Kopecky for Dukla Trencin while Mike Santorelli picked up an assist for Tingsryds AIF.
Marcel Goc (pictured above) struck on a third period power play to pull Adler within a goal but Kolner Haie would add another late tally for a 3-1 home victory in Friday action from the D.E.L. (German Elite League). The goal was the second of the season for Goc (a goal he was credited with earlier in the season has been officially changed) and first on the power play. Goc played wing on Adler's first line with center Yanick Lehoux and Frank Mauer and finished the game with two shots on goal and a -1 rating. Kolner grabbed a 2-0 lead with the goals coming from Nathan Robinson and Rok Ticar before Goc scored on assists from Mike Glumac and Steven Wagner. Felix Schutz scored into an empty net with fifty seconds remaining to seal the victory for Kolner Haie. Youri Ziffzer made 31 saves for Kolner while Dennis Endras stopped 27 shots while taking the loss for Adler Mannheim. Goc has now scored 7 points (2G/5A) in eight D.E.L. games.
Wearing #21, Mike Santorelli centered Tingsryds' top line flanked by his brother Mark and Tomas Larsson during his Friday debut in HockeyAllsvenskan which is the second highest division in Sweden. He assisted on Tingsryds only goal in a 2-1 shootout loss on the road to IK Oskarshamn. The Tingsryds goal was scored in the second period on the power play by Larsson and tied the game at one after Joakim Hagelin had staked Oskarshamn to an early lead. Giullio Scandella scored twice in the shootout to offset Mark Santorelli's goal providing second place Oscarshamn with the win. Tingsryds picked up one point with the shootout loss and moved into a tenth place tie with IF Malmo.
Tomas Kopecky scored a goal and added an assist in Dukla Trencin's come from behind 4-2 win over HK 36 Skalica in Friday action from Slovakia's Extraliga. Kopecky struck late in the first period after Skalica had jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. He then assisted on Rostislav Marosz's tying goal in the second period. Martin Jukabek scored the game winning goal late in the second period while Radoslav Tybor scored the clincher at the 13:50 mark of the third period. Tomas Klima had two assists for Dukla Trencin who moved up to seventh place in the standings with the home ice win.
