The Rampage offense finally came alive on Saturday. After recording only five shots on the net in the first period, the San Antonio rallied with 24 shots in the second and third periods, tying the game in the third after being down by three goals. However the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, scored late in the third to win, 6-5. For the first time this season, San Antonio out-shot an opponent and scored three goals in a period. Sadly Jacob Markstrom's early season struggles continue, as he allowed all six goals on 25 shots (0.760 Sv%).

The offense didn't carry over to Sunday, in a rematch of Thursday night's game against the Rockford IceHogs. Casey Wellman scored the only goal for the Rampage in the first, as San Antonio only had 11 shots in the first two periods. While a comeback was attempted in the final period with 13 shots on net, thanks to five powerplay opportunities, IceHogs goaltender Carter Hutton stood tall and didn't give the Rampage an inch, winning the game 3-1. Dov Grumet-Morris was in net, and allowed three goals on 25 shots (including a penalty shot in the second, which wasn't scored).

The Rampage have a four-game home-stand coming up, beginning Friday against the Grand Rapids Griffins, affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings; puck drops at 8:30 PM EST. San Antonio is currently sitting in last place in the South Division with a 2-4-1 record (5 points).

- The Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) played a Friday-Saturday series against the Elmira Jackals. On Friday, the Cyclones scored three straight goals, the first coming from Garrett Wilson (assisted by David Pacan) in the second. Jonathan Hazen scored the game winning goal in the third, his first of the season, and the Cyclones won, 3-2. Brian Foster was in net and allowed both goals on 26 shots (.923 Sv%); he was named the first star.

The Jackals were able to split the series on Saturday, with a 3-2 overtime win. Pacan tied the game at two in the third, his second goal of the season. Brian Foster again got the start, allowing three goals on 32 shots (.906 Sv%).

The Cyclones' next game is tomorrow, a Halloween tilt against the Kalamazoo Wings. Puck drops at 8:30 PM EST. Cincinnati is currently tied for second in the North Division with a 3-0-2 record (eight points).
