The San Antonio Rampage opened up their four-game homestand against the Grand Rapids Griffins, AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. Down by two goals early in the first, the Rampage rallied by scoring three straight goals, one in each period. Jon Rheault scored the first two goals, his first with the Rampage, with his second coming shorthanded. The game winning goal went to Eric Selleck, his first of the season, as the Rampage won their third straight home game. Jacob Markstrom was in net, stopping 24 shots (.923 Sv%).

On Sunday, the Rampage special teams, backed Dov Grumet-Morris, defeated rival Oklahoma City Barons. Alexander Petrovic (pictured above) scored his first pro goal in the second, and Colby Robak scored his second goal of the season in the third. Both goals were on the powerplay, and were assisted by John McFarland, his first career pro points. Grumet-Morris stopped all 27 Baron shots and was named the first star. He's third in the AHL (the leaders have played only two games) in GAA (1.19), save percentage (.961), and tied for first in shutouts with two. The Rampage PK killed all five penalties, and went 2-for-4 on the powerplay.

The Rampage continue the home-stand on Saturday, against the Toronto Marlies, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs; puck drops at 8:00 PM EST. San Antonio is currently sitting fourth in the South Division with a 4-4-1 record (nine points).

- The Cyclones played a Halloween game against the Kalamazoo Wings. David Pacan scored his third goal of the season in the first to tie the game, and Garret Wilson won the game with his fourth goal of the season with just 44 seconds left. Pacan was credited with one of the assists. Brian Foster's undefeated streak in regulation continued, making 19 saves on 21 shots (.905 Sv%). The Cyclones won, 3-2.

His streak would continue again in the rematch on Friday. Mattias Lindstrom scored his first North American goal, unassisted, in the second period. Jonathan Hazen would score his second goal a minute later, and the Cyclones would take a 4-2 lead into the second. However the Wings tied the game with back-to-back goals, but the Cyclones answered late in the third to win 5-4. Jonathan Hazen and Josh McFadden scored two assists, and Brian Foster made 24 saves on 28 shots (.857 Sv%).

On Saturday, the winning continued with a 2-1 overtime win. Jonthan Hazen scored his third goal in the second period for a 1-0 lead. The Wheeling Nailers would answer less than a minute later, but that would be the only goal allowed by Brian Foster. 21 seconds was all that was needed in overtime, and the Cyclones won their third straight game and held onto first place. Foster made 30 saves (.968 Sv%) and was named the second star.

The Cyclones' next game is Friday, against the Greenville Road Warriors. Puck drops at 8:00 PM EST. Cincinnati is currently first in the North Division with a 6-0-2 record (12 points).
