While [recent Florida] teams resembled AHL franchises with a few overachieving exceptions, the 2011-12 Panthers are an amalgamation of veteran leadership, grittiness and skill and the Caps realize that as they begin a stretch of three meetings with the Panthers in the next 16 days that could prove vital down the stretch.

As much as I hated to do it, I gave up my tickets because I didn’t want to be out even later on a school night. Trying to practice responsible parenting here. The whole family will be there Friday, however.

So any idea what the lines are going to be like tonight? Not really sure who’s back/who’s out and such. Something along the lines of this…?
Flash-Weiss-Matthias
Berg-Goc-Sammy
Sturm-Madden-Kopecky
Barch-Santorelli-Bradley
Hmmm really? I actaully liked Matthias on that line, he created room with his big frame and when they were cycling in the zone he would stand in front of the net. So where does that put Danger, 3rd line wing?
guess so. I like Matthias on that line too and would rather see Sammy there instead for Kopecky for that matter.

Blah, well at least i like our 2nd line. Hopefully berg can continue where he left off before he got injured.
I like the idea of Kopy on the top line. Every time I notice him lately he’s in the offensive zone and doing something good with the puck (keeping it in the zone, blocking others from it, etc). He seems like he’s close to breaking out and maybe the extra ice time will be the catalyst.

All it takes
sometimes is a couple lucky bounces. Doesn’t seem that we’ve had any in a while. Think we’re a bit overdue in that regards. I expect Flash to have another good game against his former team. Hoping that Danger steps it up again. Santo here’s your chance to sign. Upshall hardly got a chance to know ya this year.
A lil thunder and a lil lightning is what the Cats are going to bring this year.
