Quality of opponents.
Any team that is able to stay relevant playing against San Jose 6 times, where the other teams in the division are very decent Dallas and Phoenix, along with a renewed Anaheim, and plays the Central Division regularly … I’d bet on them over the Devils anyday.

Just watching two low-scoring teams that give up more shots than they take battle it out is kinda meh. It’s still hockey, it could change at any time (see vancouver game that one really picked up)

Incidentally, I was watching the Jets-Panthers game at my grandparents house while I was down in South Florida, and my grandmother was keeping loose track of the game. Her reaction to finding out the score was 2-1 Panthers, after last she knew it was 1-0, was “Why’d the Panthers let the motherjokers score?”
It took me a minute to parse out that she had actually said “them other jokers”, but I propose that our new nickname for the Jets be “The Motherjokers”.

Seattle absolutely does not have a better building situation than Quebec. Key or Seattle Center (whatever they call it nowadays) only seats about 10K for hockey due to sight line issues and building layout. Le Colisee (which is getting some upgrades this summer) seats 15K and would be a much better temporary home for a team like a relocated Coyotes. Quebec has a new building in the works Seattle does not. The losses a relocated team would face playing in Seattle while a new arena was being built would be huge. All Quebec really needs to do sew up the Coyotes if they need to be moved is get shovels in the ground to prove to the NHL that the arena will be finished.
My feeling is the NHL (even though they claim otherwise) might get another $25 million from Glendale and then move the Coyotes to QC for the 2012-13 season.
