Last night's WCF result

  • (8) Los Angeles over (3) Phoenix, 4-0: Kings rattled off another 40-shot effort on Mike Smith (36 saves) in a game which opened floodgates on the physical stuff, generated completely by frustration; witness calls made against the Coyotes: 1 hooking, 1 tripping, 2 slashing, 3 roughing, 2 boarding, 1 kneeing, 2 majors, and 3 misconducts. Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots for the shutout. LA leads series 2-0, head to Staples Center tomorrow.

Tonight's ECF action:

  • (6) New Jersey at (1) NY Rangers, 8 p.m. (NBCSN): Dan Girardi, Artem Anisimov, and Chris Kreider each notched 1G/1A while Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves for a 3-0 New York victory in the series opener on Monday.
