Woe Canada! Slovaks send Team Canada packing - Worlds QF Update Thread (for those who care)

Canada is bounced from the World Championships as Handzus gets the late winner and Kopecky lights the lamp again.

Michal Handzus tipped in a shot with 2:32 to play in regulation with an assist to Andrej Sekera as Slovakia knocked out Canada 4-3 this morning at the IIHF World Hockey Championship in Helsinki. Panther Tomas Kopecky continued his torrid pace at the tourney (where was this scoring touch during the NHL season?) and Miroslav Satan and Milan Bartovic also scored for Slovakia (6-2-0). Evander Kane, Jeff Skinner and Alexandre Burrows got the goals for Canada (6-1-1) who are going home early and disappointed once again.

The Slovaks advance to the semis and will take on the winner of the Sweden-Czech Republic quarterfinal game later today.
