The team, currently captained by former Florida forward Ville Peltonen, began their regular season schedule September 13, sporting a 2-2-1(tie) record in the SM-Liiga. Bergenheim, 28, scored 17 goals in 63 games during an injury-shortened season a year ago, and previously played on three Finnish Men's National Teams from 2006 through 2008.
