"Miss me?" - Joel Auerbach

No room for Santo as forwards continue to see improving health, while second-year pro Gudbranson just needs competitive action before return to Cats lineup.

Some very good news via the Cats this evening:

Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has loaned D Erik Gudbranson and F Mike Santorelli to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Gudbranson, 21, played in 72 games with Florida during his rookie season (2011-2012) scoring two goals with six assists and 78 PIM. He was drafted by Florida in the first round (third overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Santorelli, 27, has played in 145 games with Florida (2010-2013) scoring 29 goals with 23 assists. For his career in the NHL, he has played in 177 games with Nashville (2008-2010) and Florida registering 55 points (31-24-55).

And that's about it for the release. Likely expect to see Guds returned to Sunrise within a week or so. As for Santorelli, he was a healthy scratch in three of Florida's first six games to open the season.
