Fleischmann logged 12:48 of ice time and finished the tilt with an even rating. The Czechs scored all of their goals on specials teams, notching three on the power play and one shorthanded. Slovenia jumped ahead 2-1 in the first period before Jiri Hudler scored to even the game with 43 seconds left in the frame. Zbynek Michalek scored the winner and Jiri Novotny netted the clincher in the third period.
