The departure of Jacques Martin, general manager of three seasons, to the Montreal Canadiens casts a degree of uncertainty on the Florida franchise. Any drafting patterns in past years could be moot, but then again Florida needs to work off the list its scouts made all year long.

There's some whispers of (him falling from number one). But I don't know why you would drop a kid if he has a tough playoff. You get a 17-year-old, and let's say his girlfriend breaks up with him, that could make him go in the toilet for a month.
