The AHL's Board of Governors ended its yearly meeting by announcing some changes for the 12-13 AHL season. The Rampage will now play in the renamed South Division, with the Charlotte Checkers moving in replacing the Abbotsford Heat.
Jason DeSantis, who played 66 games for the St. John's IceCaps (AHL affiliate for the Winnipeg Jets) has been signed to a one year, two-way deal. DeSantis was third in Ice Cap scoring (second in defensemen) and tied for the team lead in assists.
