Finally: a good team. After two weeks of dogging it against subpar opponents, the Cats have a real test on their hands. Sarcasm, kids...sarcasm.
Okay, so here we are at 1-4, Cory Stillman is now taking up residence on the third line, Rusty Olesz decides to make a career of this hockey thing, and Dominic Moore is everything Panthers fans wanted from a guy Alex Tanguay modeled his game after. Or not. Speaking of new faces, Scott Clemmensen gets his Sunrise Premiere in net. It's also Hockey Fights Cancer Night on FOX Sports Florida's game broadcast, so I'll be rustling through the hamper looking for anything lavender; amazingly enough, no luck yet.
Stat of the evening: the Cats' powerplay is firing at a toothless 9.5%...that's 2 goals in 21 opportunities.
Your Florida lineup for tonight:
Booth - Weiss - Horton
Frolik - Reinprecht - Olesz
Dvorak - Campbell - Stillman
Koistinen - Moore - Kreps
Allen - Kulikov
Leopold - Ballard
McCabe - Seidenberg
I'm thrilled to be back in town, on the Live Blog for what is really the first time this year. Our good buddies at Broad Street Hockey have the Philly perspective, and please do check it out.
And it's been a while, so keep in mind, to join the Live Blog in progress, go to the "Comments" below; it updates in realtime. Or so the techies tell me. Go Cats.
Does newcomer Dominic Moore end the evening on the fourth line?
