LIVE BLOG: Florida Panthers at Carolina Hurricanes

Carolinahurricanes_medium

Well, here we are. After what seems like forever, the Cats are back on the ice.

Getting the live blog going a little early today in case anyone feels like stopping by and letting out an excited "GO CATS GO" while we patiently wait for the puck to drop in Raleigh tonight.

As of now there is nothing new to report. Dominic Moore and Scott Clemmensen are still not with the team, but hopefully Moore will make it to Sunrise in time for tomorrow's home opener. Otherwise everybody is healthy and ready to go. Should anything change before the puck drops, I'll be sure and update the page.

Dmitri Kulikov will continue to make his bid to stick with the big club with tonight being the 3rd game of the 9 that he will likely get with the Panthers. Of course there is the possibility that he will continue to impress and dare I say, keep getting better (which young players have been known to do in their rookie year. See: Coghlan, Chris)

"We've got still another half dozen games to go before we have to make that decision, which is nice," Coach Pete DeBoer said. "He's obviously making a great case to stay. But we've only played a couple of games. I'm excited to see him back here in North America, see how he handles it. The speed and the tempo is going to pick up, from even over in Finland to start the season."

Don't miss the opportunity to check out our pals at Canes Country for their take on the game.

Follow the jump to find my favorite Panthers-Hurricanes moment, and something to give you a giggle as you get through your day.
