The Cats' new attitude has them thinking offense, offense, offense.
Cats @ Leafs, 7p - Air Canada Centre, FSN-FL
Panthers: 23-18-8 54P, 3rd in SE Maple Leafs: 19-23-8 46P, 4th in NE
LAST 10: FLA: 6-2-2 TOR: 3-5-2
HOME & AWAY: TOR (H): 9-10-5 FLA (A): 11-12-3
GAME 2 of 4 SEASON SERIES: 1-0 (FLA)
ALL-TIME: 25-13-7 (TOR)
Florida attempts to right the ship following a blow-out 3-1 loss in Uniondale on Saturday. 3-1 may not seem a definitive blow-out by historical standards, but an ugly night it was, and may well have turned out far worse. Full marks to the Islanders, who Showed Up.
Tonight we deal with a Toronto Maple Leafs club which has been rather up and down since the start of the season, but lately has stolen a points few from not only conference bretheren, but Southeastern foes as well. With Brian Burke behind the scenes, a scary bunch is guaranteed. On that note...does Burkie go after Anaheim's Stampy Chris Pronger?
See that red undergarment? The Habs wear red. Conspiracy?
AT THE ENDS
V-Tos starts. That's the guess from The Box.
T-Vo will start his eleventh straight game tonight. I think. Getting rather fatigued with all the Kentucky Fried Chicken-isms, i.e. KFC, T-Vo, V-Tos, B-Mac, J-Bo, etc...
J-Mar in a scene you will not see. Thankfully.
BATTERED AND BRUISED
David Booth (flu) is questionable. His health, that is.
The clock's ticking...and lottery balls are a-flyin'.
DIVISIONALLY SPEAKING
Nothing changed on Monday, given there were no games within the SE. Tuesday will be another story, as the Cats face not only conference trouble-maker Toronto, but the rest of the division.
Buffalo's whirlwind western tour went downhill in Anaheim last night, as the Ducks ended the evening with a 3-2 victory over the Sabres. Some good news for Florida fans.
TONIGHT
All the kids are in action this evening, and all on the road. Eerie.
- Washington @ New Jersey, 7p. The juggernaut Caps look to continue steamrolling through the conference.
- Tampa Bay @ NY Islanders, 7p. Sound like a lot of nothingness? Think again. The Bolts sit within ten points of eighth place.
- Atlanta @ NY Rangers, 7:30p. NEXT...
- Carolina @ Vancouver, 10p. Mats Sundin recovers his scoring touch and lights the lamp for four goals in the first per...wow. Anyone else seeing spots?
AND KEEP AN EYE ON...
- Pittsburgh @ Montreal, 7:30p. The Pens are toast. Move along.
