Friday Caterwaul: Panthers GameDay Open Forum

New, comments

We'll keep the past right where it belongs: in the rear-view mirror...no need to bring up Florida's 1-7-1 all-time record against the Wild. Nor the Panthers' 1-4 run in that period. At home. Oh well, it's opportunities such as this which is why the games are played; who expected such a decisive recent victory over the (now 0-7) Leafs? Nah, let's not go there either.

Minnesota (7-5-2, 16 points) got smacked hard in Atlanta Thursday with a 5-1 loss, running a three-game win streak flat into a Southeast Division wall.

What to look for this evening? Most eyes will be on Michael Frolik, who's riding a point-streak of five games (4g, 4a). The larger question may be in net: with Philadelphia looming on Saturday - presumably a Tomas Vokoun must-start affair), does Scott Clemmensen get the call tonight?

And how about defenseman Bryan Allen's five points (2g) over his past four matches...what's he drinking?
