Wednesday Caterwaul: Panthers GameDay Open Forum

Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby may have a gaggle of points against Florida since the lockout ended - 25 in fact, over 20 games - so as usual he'll reasonably be the focus of everyone's attention this evening (Live Game Chat at 6). The Gatos have had a bit more luck containing Evgeni Malkin (a mere 17 points in as many games) but the duo combine for a frighteningly effective one-two punch. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're simply the best.

Which notable (and currently healthy) veteran Florida forwards have had the most offensive success against the Pens? Depends on your definition of "success":

  • David Booth - 13gp 3g-4a 7p
  • Michael Frolik - 9gp 1g-5a 6p
  • Chris Higgins - 20gp 6g-4a 10p
  • Marty Reasoner - 16gp 1g-2a 3p (that's just stunning)
  • Stephen Weiss - 25gp 6g-8a 14p

Your point-per-game champion? Steven Reinprecht, who's collected 13 points (7g) in 12 career games against Pittsburgh. Six of those points were on the man advantage, so if - for whatever personal reason - Reino happens to occupy a spot on your fantasy team's bench, by all means activate him.
