This was an epic collapse in a game the Devils’ newish coach wanted so badly. Payback boomeranged last night on Pete DeBoer, when the Panthers stuffed a three-goal lead back in their former coach’s face, beating the Devils 4-3.

Why last night freaking rocked:
- Carolina over Philadelphia 4-2: you can agree to disagree with me on this, but any chance to knock the Flyers out of FLA's path in the standings is an opportunity worth seizing, regardless of divisional issues
- Boston over Montreal 1-0 (REG): Broons are doing what should be expected of a champion. Watching the Habs grasp for relevancy is a delightfully juicy bonus
Why last night completely jonesed:
- Pittsburgh over the Isles 5-0: Brooks Orpik Night went off without so much as a hiccup
- Washington over Phoenix 4-3 (REG): 'Yotes blew a two-goal lead
Why tonight is a Big Deal:
- Toronto at Tampa Bay: gotta go with the Leafs here
