LBC's NHL Playoff Hangout: Flyers at Devils

One absurdly early game is behind us, and we thankfully learned something from it: Los Angeles defeated St. Louis 3-1 this afternoon; the Kings will be moving on to their first Western Conference Final appearance since 1993. We'll have more on it tomorrow, but I for one am thoroughly pleased to witness the efforts of L.A. stalwarts Jonathan Quick and Dustin Brown pay off in a massive fashion so far. And '93 was a lot of fun until this.

On to Sunday's madness...

  • (5) Philadelphia at (6) New Jersey, 7:30 (NBCSN): the last time Martin Brodeur played on his birthday, the then-34 year-old allowed six goals during a brutal Carolina pasting in Game One of the 2006 Eastern Conference Semifinal; New Jersey eventually bowed out in five games.
