Florida Panthers tender offers to eight players

The Cats make moves to retain big-league and AHL players.

The Florida Panthers announced today that they have extended qualifying offers to eight free agents.

The players receiving the offers were forwards Jonathan Huberdeau, Jimmy Hayes, Quinton Howden, Corban Knight, John McFarland, Garrett Wilson and newly-acquired, former Maple Leaf Greg McKegg.

Defenseman Alex Petrovic, who played in 33 games with the Cats last season, was also extended an offer.
