Panthers recall Kyle Rau from Springfield

The Florida Panthers have reached down to Springfield for the first time this season, recalling Kyle Rau from the Thunderbirds on Friday.

Jussi Jokinen (knee) is apparently questionable for tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche, so Rau will go if the veteran Finn is unable to.

Rau played in nine games (no points) with the Panthers last season and in 63 games with the Portland Pirates totaled 17 goals and 14 assists.

In Springfield’s first two games this season, Rau was scoreless with seven shots on goal and a -1 rating.
