Scouting Report:

The Rangers won the first three games of a western Canadian road trip with wins in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver before ending it with Friday’s loss in Columbus. The Panthers haven’t beaten the Rangers at MSG since 2013 — a span of five consecutive losses. (Miami Herald)

Scouting Report:

Despite the fact the Rangers have started 13-5-0, are leading the league in scoring and have a plus-32 goal differential, and though that loss in Columbus was just the second defeat in 10 games, it was not easy to accept — especially for (Henrik) Lundqvist. “Everybody knows his competitive nature, everybody knows that when the game is on the line, he’s one of the goaltenders that you definitely want out there,” Vigneault said. “And we’re real happy to have him on our team.” (New York Post)
