In Florida Panthers news, prospect Jonathan Ang’s season came crashing to end as his Peterborough Petes were routed 7-0 by the Mississauga Steelheads. The Steelheads won the series in a four-game sweep to advance to the OHL Championship round. Ang had two shots in the game and posted a -2 rating. The 19-year-old finished the postseason with 7 goals and 4 assists in 12 games.

Sam Brittain made 31 saves in Manchester’s 3-2 overtime loss in Game 1 of their second round ECHL playoff series. Thomas Schemitsch also suited up for the Monarchs and registered two shots on goal.

Happy Friday!
