The Ottawa Senators forced a Game 7 in their series with the Pittsburgh Penguins by squeaking out a 2-1 win last night at Canadian Tire Center. Craig Anderson made 45 saves and Mike Hoffman scored the game-winning goal early in the third period. The teams will meet Thursday night in Pittsburgh to decide who faces Nashville for the Stanley Cup.

In Florida Panthers news, prospects Sam Brittain and Thomas Schemitsch will be in action as the Manchester Monarchs host the South Carolina Stingrays tonight in Game 7 of the ECHL Eastern Conference final. The winner will advance to meet the Colorado Eagles for the Kelly Cup.

Brittain has done a fine job for the Monarchs in the postseason. He has posted an 11-7 record, 2.24 GAA, a .928 save percentage and one shutout.

Schemitsch has suited up in 15 of 18 of Manchester’s playoff games and collected six assists to go along with a +3 rating.
