Cats roster down to 40 / T-Birds camp opens today

The Florida Panthers continue training camp with the roster down to an even 40 men.

Forward Curtis Valk and defenseman Thomas Schemitsch were loaned to Springfield Thunderbirds, who start training camp today at the MassMutual Center.

Newly-acquired winger Jamie McGinn had his first practice with the Cats on Thursday. McGinn, Joanthan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov were interviewed after yesterday’s session.

Center Vincent Trocheck, who was injured in Game 2 of the doubleheader with Nashville, has started skating again and is now listed as day-to-day.
