The Florida Panthers announced today that the club has reduced its training camp roster from 40 to 32 players.

Defenseman Michael Downing, forwards Chase Balisy, Dryden Hunt, Juho Lammikko, and goaltender Samuel Montembeault have been assigned to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Florida has also placed forward Alexandre Grenier and defenseman Reece Scarlett on waivers and released veteran Russian defenseman Nikolai Belov from his professional tryout.
