Canucks sign Horvat to long-term deal

The Vancouver Canucks signed restricted free agent Bo Horvat to a six-year contract worth $33 million. The 22-year-old forward posted career-highs of 20 goals and 32 assists last season for the Canucks.

Defenseman Dmitri Samorukov signed an entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers selected Samorukov in the third round (84th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

The San Jose Sharks signed Jacob Middleton to an entry-level contract. The 21-year-old defender, who was drafted in 2010 by the Los Angeles Kings, played in the AHL last season for the San Jose Barracuda.
