Devils, Maple Leafs and Avalanche get on the board

Potential Hart Trophy-winner Taylor Hall scored a goal and set up two others in the New Jersey Devils 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Newark. Cory Schneider made his first start of the postseason and made 34 saves as the Devils cut Tampa Bay’s lead in the series to two games to one.

Frederik Andersen stopped 40 shots and Auston Matthews notched his first of the playoffs to help the Toronto Maple Leafs doubled up the Boston Bruins by a 4-2 count. The Bruins lead the series two games to one.

Nathan MacKinnon scored twice to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 5-3 win over the visiting Nashville Predators The Predators now hold a two games to one lead in the series.

The San Jose Sharks exploded for four second period goals and routed the reeling Anaheim Ducks 8-1 at SAP Center. Former Panther draft pick Joonas Donskoi scored a goal and added two assists. San Jose will go for the sweep on Wednesday night.
