Capitals advance; Leafs force Game 7 with Bruins

Alex Ovechkin scored twice and Braden Holtby made 35 stops at the Washington Capitals eliminated the Columbus Blue Jackets with a 6-3 road win in Game Six. The Capitals, who four straight games after dropping the first two, move on to face the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.

Frederik Andersen turned away 32 shots and the Toronto Maple Leafs got goals from William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Tomas Plekanec to beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 at Air Canada Centre, evening the series at three games apiece. The decisive seventh game will take place on Wednesday night in Boston.
