Lightning zap Caps, tie series at two

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves and Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal with 8:03 left in regulation, lifting the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-2 victory over the Washington Capitals, evening the Eastern Conference final at two games apiece. Brayden Point, Steven Stamkos and Anthony Cirelli (ENG) also scored for the Lightning.

  • Aaron Ekblad drew the secondary assist on Ryan O’Reilly’s overtime winner. The Florida Panthers defenseman finished with two shots on goal and a -1 rating in 25:43 TOI.
  • Evgenii Dadonov had one assist, one shot and registered a -1 rating in 13:35 TOI
  • Maxin Mamin did not play in the game due to injury.

United States 3, Czech Republic 2

  • Patrick Kane scored two goals, including the game-winning goal 6:58 into the period to the U.S. to the win.

Switzerland 3, Finland 2

Harri Sateri made 24 saves as the Finns were upset by Switzerland. Sateri finished with tournament with a 4-1 record, 1.41 GAA, .939 save percentage, and one shutout.
