Florida’s division rival, the Montreal Canadiens made a big trade with the Arizona Coyotes yesterday, sending Alex Galchenyuk to Glendale for RFA Max Domi (update: Domi has signed a new with Montreal). TSN’s Scott Cullen breaks things down without bias here. For more, pay a visit to Five For Howling and Eyes On The Prize.

I have been meaning to post this, but just getting around to it now. A big shout out to the Colorado Eagles, who beat the Florida Everblades in seven games to capture the ECHL’s Kelly Cup for a second straight time a week ago. The Eagles are moving up to the American Hockey League next season, Talk about going out on a high note... back to back titles. Nice! The Eagles will become the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. (ECHL)

The Calgary Flames are in a tough spot spot after trading its top three selections in the upcoming draft. The Flames won’t step to the podium until the 105th pick. (NHL.com)
