The 2019 NHL Draft Lottery takes place tonight in Toronto. Our Florida Panthers will be looking to build on yesterday’s hiring of three-time Stanley Cup-winning coach Joel Quenneville with a win that will vault them from 13th in the first round up into the top three, where the likes of Jack Hughes, Kaapo Kakko, Vasili Podkolzin, Bowen Byram, and Kirby Dach await.
The lottery will consist of three drawings: the first draw will determine the club selecting first overall, the second draw will determine the club selecting second overall and the third draw will determine the club selecting third overall.
The odds for the first draw are as follows:
- Colorado Avalanche (from Ottawa) 18.5%
- Los Angeles Kings 13.5%
- New Jersey Devils 11.5%
- Detroit Red Wings 9.5%
- Buffalo Sabres 8.5%
- New York Rangers 7.5%
- Edmonton Oilers 6.5%
