A missed call on a hand pass led to Erik Karlsson’s game-winning goal 5:23 into overtime, giving the San Jose Sharks a 5-4 decision over the St. Louis Blues. The goal was Karlsson’s second of the game. Joe Thornton also scored twice and Logan Couture sent the game to the extra session when he beat Jordan Binnington with 1:01 left in regulation. David Perron was the third player in the tilt to produce a brace and Alexander Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko also lit the lamp for the Blues, who ran off three-straight goals in the second to erase a 3-1 deficit.
