Jack Hughes signs ELC with New Jersey

Jack Hughes, the first overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has signed an entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils.

Hughes, 18, scored 34 goals and recorded 112 points in 50 games with U.S. National Development Team last season.

The Florida Panthers will get a quick look at the young phenom (provided he indeed makes the team) when they visit the Devils at Prudential Center for afternoon matinee on October 14.
