Hockey Headlines

After going through the arbitration process with the St. Louis Blues, defenseman Joel Edmundson has been awarded a one-year contract worth $3.1 million. Edmundson chipped in seven points in the Blues’ Stanley Cup run. (St. Louis Game Time)

Carolina Hurricanes goaltending prospect Anton Forsberg was awarded a new one-year, one-way deal worth $775,000 in arbitration. Carolina acquired the 26-year-old Swede from the Chicago Blackhawks as part of the Calvin de Haan trade. (Canes Country)

Former Cat Rocco Grimaldi ink a new one-year deal worth $1 million with the Nashville Predators after going through arbitration on Sunday. Grimaldi put up five goals and 13 points in 53 games with the Predators last season. (On The Forecheck)

The San Jose Sharks acquired Trevor Carrick from the Carolina Hurricanes for Kyle Wood in a swap of AHL defensemen, and signed him to a two-year, two-way deal.
