The Florida Panthers have shed veteran forwards Paul Thompson, Kevin Roy, Joel Lowry and defenseman Tommy Cross, bringing the training camp down to 37 as they hit Tulsa, OK for tonight’s preseason match-up against the Dallas Stars.

Update: The roster is now down to 32 as Rodrigo Abols, Jonathan Ang, Jake Massie and goaltender Ryan Bednard have been sent to Springfield. Serron Noel is on his way back to the OHL.

Eliminating the goalies, as we know there will be two (Sergei Bobrovsky and most likely Sam Montembeault), that leaves 28 skaters, which means there are 8 cuts to go – 4 forwards and 4 defensemen - if the Cats will indeed run a 22-man roster to start the season.
