The Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning meet again tonight at the BB&T Center. Florida smoked the Bolts by a 6-3 count on Tuesday.

The roster is now at 25 as the Cats released Troy Brouwer from his PTO and waived goaltender Chris Driedger, defenseman Ian McCoshen and forward Anthony Greco for the purpose of reassigment to Springfield. I would expect all three players to clear, with Greco being one to be a little bit concerned about.

Thunderbirds 4, Wolf Pack 2

The Springfield Thunderbirds opened their three-game preseason slate against their I-91 rivals and came away with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday night against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Danbury Ice Arena.

Jake Massie, Rodrigo Abols, Jonathan Ang and Blaine Byron scored the goals. Ryan Bednard played the entire game and obviously got the win.
