After selecting Finnish center Anton Lundell with the 12th overall pick last night, new Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito has seventh selections to work with today (barring trades) as the NHL will hold rounds two through seven this afternoon.
The Panthers have the following picks:
First Round: Anton Lundell (12)
Second Round: Emil Heineman (43)
Third Round: Ty Smilanic (74)
Third Round: Justin Sourdif (87)
Fourth Round: Michael Benning (95)
Fourth Round: Zachary Uens (105)
Fifth Round: Kasper Puutio (153)
Seventh Round: Elliot Ekmak (198)
Seventh Round: Devon Levi (212)
There are still players available that many scouting outlets have ranked as first-round talents like Noel Gundler, Jan Mysak, J.J. Peterka, William Wallinder, Thomas Bordeleau and Helge Grans. In addition, the trade market could heat up today after a quiet Tuesday, so hump day could get pretty eventful.
