Aleksi Saarela notches tenth goal in Liiga

Florida Panthers forward Aleksi Saarela notched his tenth Liiga goal of the season with a bullet from the left circle in Lukko’s 6-1 win over JYP.

Saarela’s goal gave his team a 3-0 lead 8:31 into the first period. He would also draw the secondary assist on Eetu Koivistoinen’s goal, which closed the scoring with 5:20 left in the game.

The 23-yeard-old RFA logged 15:45 TOI and finished with a +2 rating. Saarela now has 15 points in 14 games this season, second best on the club,

Sanntu Kinnuenen played 16:31 and finished with an even rating in Tappara’s 2-1 win over KalPa. The 21-year-old defenseman has played in all 15 games for Tappara this season.

Eetu Luostarinen had two shots on goal and posted an even rating in 20:50 TOI for KalPa. Luostarinen still leads the team in scoring with 13 points (5G/8A) in 14 games.

Rodrigo Abols registered one shot on goal, dished out two hits and posted an even rating in 16:44 of ice time in Orebro HK’s 2-1 win Swedish Hockey League win over IK Oskarshamn. Abols has 5 goals and 9 points in 13 SHL games.

Vladislav Kolyachonok had two shots on goal and finished with an even rating while logging 17:58 TOI during Dinamo Minsk’s 5-1 loss to CSKA Moscow in KHL action.

Panthers reserve Maxim Mamin had an assist for CSKA Moscow. Mamin produced two shots, two hits and finished with a -1 rating in 17:05 TOI.
